This is just a follow-up to an earlier post about Mason showing some asthma symptoms. Our pediatrician said it's not out of the ordinary for young children to show signs of asthma, and then to grow out of them. He said Mason's troubles -- coughing a lot when he plays hard -- could be seasonal asthma or related to allergies. The good news is that we've been using a new inhaler treatment and Mason's coughing has cleared up quite well. We went to the zoo yesterday (Sunday) and Mase walked most of the time. Then he played for a good half hour at the playground and didn't cough once. Hopefully his asthma/coughing is just one of these phases like the doctor said.
